Ingredients:
First soak the almonds in warm water for about 15 mins.
Marinate the chicken pieces in curd and turmeric for an hour.
Meanwhile make a paste of chilli and garlic.
Remove the skin of the almond and make it into a paste separately.
Take oil in a pan and add sliced onions, chilli-garlic paste and stir well till it turns slightly brown.
Powder the cardamom, clove, cinnamon and add the masala and mix well.
Add tomatoes and cook with little water on low flame for 5-10 mins.
Add marinated chicken, salt and enough water to cook the chicken.
Finally mix the almond paste/cashew nut paste and mix well.
Serve with sprinkled coriander and fried onions on top!!
- Chicken pieces-750 to 800 gm
- 10 red chillies
- Cinnamon-1 piece
- Cardamom-2
- Clove-4
- ¼ cup Almonds/Badam or ½ cup cashew nuts soaked in water
- Curd-1/2 cup
- 3 tomatoes chopped into small pieces
- 2 large Onions sliced
- Garlic-3 pods
- Turmeric powder- a pinch
- Oil-3 Tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Coriander Leaves for garnish
